'22: 2nd All-American/1st All-BIG 10

combine: 9'2" broad jump, 29 reps

strengths: Versatility to play guard or tackle. Shuffles his feet and rides the rusher around the arc. Athletic talent to make recoveries at a variety of angles. Fluid with an accurate radar to strike as a pull blocker.

weaknesses: Not much pop on contact. Bends at the waist and lacks ideal leverage as a run blocker. Very average body control through rush contact. Power displaces his anchor. Forward lean makes him susceptible to spin moves.

OT - Peter Skoronski , Northwestern 6'4" 313

'22: 1st All-BIG 10

Base stays wide and balanced throughout the rep. Clear understanding of positioning and angles at the point of attack. Washes down run defenders looking to shoot gaps.

weaknesses: Needs to alter his pass sets and hand attacks to become less predictable. Beaten by long-arm rush moves and driven into the pocket. Average adjustments to 2nd-level movements. Can be beaten by side-stepping defenders at the point of attack.

combine: 4.86s 40, 29"vert, 22reps

strengths: Plays instinctive football in tight quarters. Takes long, loose strides to defeat reach blocks laterally. Can withstand double teams and keeps the gap snug. Plays past the blocker with his eyes & focus. Moving target as an interior rusher. Pocket-pusher when he gets the jump.

weaknesses: Will slip the block & lose gap leverage at times. Range as a tackle-maker is average. Rush approach is linear & unsophisticated. Suffered ACL tear in September '21 and had shoulder surgery in January '22.

comp: Grover Stewart

grade: 6.35 (Will eventually be a plus starter) Next Gen: 77 (Good)

strengths: Initial punch drives through opponent's pads. Good recognition against down blocks. Power & snap quickness to penetrate and ruin play design. Shoves and clubs blocker's wrists and hands to eliminate the punch.

weaknesses: Needs to improve technique taking on double teams. Drops head taking on blocks & loses sight of the ball. Lacks change-of-direction quickness to tackle cutting runners.

comp: Danny Shelton

grade: 6.34 (Will eventually be a plus starter) Next Gen: 62 (Average)

CB - Joey Porter Jr, Penn State 6'2 1/2" 193

strengths: Smart hand usage helps cover when his feet are late. Recovery & length to swat away would-be catches underneath. Can win high-point challenges even from trail position. Match-up potential against pass-catching TE's.

weaknesses: Noticeable delay in transitions from the press. Not twitchy enough to match a complex route. Too grabby at the top of the route. Lacking change-of-direction quickness as an open-field tackler.

comp: Amani Oruwariye

grade: 6.42 (Good starter within 2 years) Next Gen: 81 (Good)

CB - Kelee Ringo, Georgia 6'2" 207

'22: 2nd All-SEC, 42tckls, 7PU's, 2INTs

combine: 4.36s 40, 33.5"vert, 10'2" broad jump

strengths: Stays low & balanced in his backpedal. Plays with effortless, natural responses from zone. Approaches run support duties like a safety. Fights through blocks & maintains run leverage.

weaknesses: Lack of patience against release leads to early hip declarations. Has trouble staying in phase with complex routes. Has issues consistently tracking deep balls. Step slow anticipating breaks & transitioning laterally.

comp: Jimmy Smith

grade: 6.39 (Will eventually be a plus starter) Next Gen: 82 (Good)

CB - Christian Gonzalez, Oregon 6'1" 197

'22: 1st All-PAC 12, 50tckls, 7PU's, 4INTs, Blocked Kick

combine: 4.38s 40, 41.5"vert, 11'1'' broad jump

strengths: Length & strength allows him to bully releases from press. Feet & hips create easy skip and flip to match the release. Able to shuffle and swerve in space like he's gliding on-air. Rare recovery kick & top-end speed for a big CB. Works his way off perimeter blocks.

weaknesses: Below-average anticipation to jump route breaks. Inconsistent finding optimal positioning to constrict catch area. Slow to get his head around and find the ball downfield. Needs to play with better awareness to run plays. Inconsistent coming to balance as an open-field tackler.

comp: Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie

grade: 6.70 (Year 1 Starter) Next Gen: 92 (Elite)

WR - Jordan Addison, USC  5'11" 173

'22: 1st All-PAC 12, 59rec/875yds/8TDs

combine: 4.49s 40, 34"vert, 10'2" broad jump

strengths: Possesses athleticism & speed to work anywhere on the field. Smart use of footwork defeats coverage leverage. Good sink & foot agility getting in and out of breaks. Can be a slippery runner after the catch. Has punt return experience.

weaknesses: Route timing can be disrupted by handsy corners. Limited catch radius for off-target throws. Needs better timing in working back to throws. Unable to create catch space downfield against size.

comp: Tyler Lockett

grade: 6.36 (Will eventually be a plus starter) Next Gen: 84 (Good)

OT - Broderick Jones, Georgia 6'5" 311

combine: 4.97s 40, 30"vert, 9' broad jump

strengths: Drives hands into the defender with an upward strike. Rips outside hand through pads to corral & move opponents. Body control to adjust to moving targets. Recognizes twist attempts quickly. Possesses loose hips & quick feet for recoveries.

weaknesses: Needs to keep his chin tucked & back flat in protection. Gives early ground when challenged by power rush. Will need to improve play strength as a pro. Tends to duck his head and lose sight into 1st contact.

comp: Andrew Thomas

grade: 6.44 (Good starter within 2 years) Next Gen: 85 (Good)

CB - Julius Brent, Kansas State 6'3" 198

'22: 1st All-BIG 12, 45tckls/3.5TFLs, 4PU's, 4INTs

combine: 4.53s 40, 41.5"vert, 11'6"broad jump

strengths: Can jab & maintain contact through press release. Digests route combination cleanly from zone. Able to partition off catch space on deep sideline throws. Explosive leaps to win the high-point battle. Aggressive attacker as a run supporter. Springs form his hips to wrap-up the ball-carrier.

weaknesses: Can be juked out of position matching press release. Will lose ground once the route becomes a foot race. Loses track of the wideout when zone focus lingers on the QB. Play-making mindset can be exploited by misdirection. Feet stalls instead of running through the tackle.

comp: Trumaine Johnson

grade: 6.28 (Will eventually be an average starter) Next Gen: 78 (Good)

EDGE - Tyree Wilson, Texas Tech 6'6" 271

'22: 2nd All-American/1st All-BIG 12, 61tckls/14TFLs, 7scks

strengths: Controls TE's at the point of attack. Wrecks run plays with hard back-side crash. Inside stab move knocks tackles off-balance and opens the rush door inside. Cuts through the B-gap and into the pocket on end-tackle twists. Possesses traits to grab early control of the rush rep with more work. Slices through redirection & recovery blocks like butter.

weaknesses: Lacks explosive get-off & ability to bend and flatten at the arc. Play can be upright and narrow at the point of attack. Slower to process movement and loses his contain. Delayed punch & separation, allowing blockers into his frame.

comp: Ezekiel Ansah

grade: 6.77 (Year 1 Starter) Next Gen: 91 (Elite)

CB - Cam Smith, South Carolina  6'1" 180

'22: 27tckls/1TFL, 1INT, 5PU's

combine: 4.43 40, 38" vert, 11'2" broad jump

strengths: Plays with anticipation from off coverage. Reads QB & WR concurrently to jump the throw. Maintains feel for route direction when in phase. Uses length & timing to alter catch success from trail production. Attacks the ball, not man with downhill angles on the throw.

weaknesses: Sluggish lateral transitions open the door for separation. Takes foot off the gas when turning to locate the ball. Defaults to grabbing instead of using proper footwork. Run support didn't appear to be a high priority.

comp: A.J. Bouye

grade: 6.27 (Will eventually be an average starter) Next Gen: 85 (Good)
