grade: 5.68 (Candidate for bottom of the roster or Practice Squad)

DT Yahya Black - Iowa  6'6", 336

grade: 5.86 (Average backup/Special teams player)

RB Bhayshul Tuten - Virginia Tech  5'9", 206

2024: 2nd All-ACC, 183att/1,159yds/15TDs, 23rec/81yds/2TDs

strengths: Rare track speed makes him a threat to go yard on any snap. Tough runner able to absorb contact & deliver punishment. Can rocket around the corner and beat the pursuit angles by LBs. Able to elude 1st tackler and find the sticks on swing passes & leak-outs. Big play potential in kick-return role.

weaknesses: Ball security issues. Lacks decisiveness and feel for lane development. Will bounce a run wide instead of trusting and working behind a lead block. Needs to learn to avoid the hellish contact & collisions he frequently takes on.

grade: 6.26 (Will eventually be an average starter)

comp: Isiah Pacheco

EDGE Elijah Roberts - SMU  6'4", 285

2024: Honorable All-ACC, 35tckls, 7.5scks, 1PBU, 2FFs

combine: 4,78s 40, 31.5"vert, 9'8"broad

strengths: Changes up his rush plan to keep protectors off-balance. Capable of stacking his moves as a pass rusher. Beats run blocker into the gap with an effective arm-over.

weaknesses: Foot quickness and change of direction are below-average. Straight-legged rush gets him knocked off track by redirect blocks. Will pull up short of full-body contact and default to arm tackles.

grade: 5.88 (Average backup/Special teamer)

CB Azareye'h Thomas - Florida State  6'1 1/2", 197

2024: Honorable All-ACC, 52tckls/2TFLs, 1INT/4PBUs

combine: 10'2"broad

strengths: Stalls WR's release with a strong punch. Takes cues from WRs to turn, locate & play the throw. Seeks to occupy as much of the catch space as possible. Long arms are formidable weapons of catch disruption.

weaknesses: Rough-housing at break points could lead to penalties. Lacks anticipation and drive burst for off coverages. Below-average recovery speed once he's beaten. Too much lunging & arm tackling in run support.

grade: 6.35 (Will eventually be a plus starter)

comp: Jaylen Watson

S Lathan Ransom - Ohio State  6', 206

2024: 3rd AP All-American/1st All-BIG 10, 76tckls9TFLs, 1sck, 1INT/2PBUs

strengths: Plays with good eye balance & instincts. Strong and fairly sticky covering TEs. Swift read-&-trigger to rush downhill and mix it up in run support. Uses a "peanut punch" to jar the ball loose from ball-carriers.

weaknesses: Below=average burst to match route breaks and stay tight to the target. Face-guards downfield instead of locating the football. Needs to come to balance quicker as an open-field tackler. Missed tackle total is a little higher than teams might like.

grade: 6.25 (Will eventually be an average starter)

QB Kyle McCord - Syracuse  6'3", 218

2024: 2nd All-ACC, 66%, 4,779yds, 34TDs/12INTs

strengths: Allows routes to breathe & mature when necessary. Good feel for buying time and beating the blitz. Pretty good poise to manage unblocked pressure closing in. Arm strength to deliver deep-outs to the field side.

weaknesses: Below-average twitch to get the ball out quickly when needed. Slower operation time allows corners to pounce & close his windows. Throws back into the middle of the field (and traffic) when scrambling. Inconsistent to lead moving targets with his ball placement. Allows edge pressure to close and sack him without climbing.

grade: 6.13 (Good backup with potential to develop as a starter)

comp: Mitchell Trubisky

DT Jared Harrison-Hunte - SMU  6'3", 290

2024: 1st All-ACC, 42tckls/8.5TFLs, 6.5scks

combine: 4.86s 40, 32"vert, 9'3"broad

strengths: Crowds into blocker's frame as quickly as possible. Lands hands while his hips are uncoiling. Slides & flurries his hands to outflank guards as a rusher. Alters stride length and tempo to keep protection guessing.

weaknesses: Can be a step slow getting off the snap. Labors to get rid of the blocker in shed mode. Unable to create consistent threat with a power rush. Gets to the edge, but often sees redirect blocks instead of clean wins.

grade: 6.11 (Good backup with potential to develop as a starter)

QB Shedeur Sanders - Colorado   6'1 1/2", 212

2024: 2nd AP All-American/1st All-BIG 12, BIG12 OPOY, 74%, 4,134yds, 37TDs/10INTs, 4rush TDs

strengths: Keeps his eyes downfield as the pocket compresses. Able to buy himself time and move his launch point when needed. Gets hips squared to the target on rollout throws. Steps into drive throws between the hashes and puts it on-frame. Allows routes to develop and throws with timing into zone windows. Consistently accurate when he throws from a balanced platform.

weaknesses: Drops beyond proper pocket depth and into edge rusher's path. Throws with a longer operation time. Inconsistent bringing his lower half through his delivery. Appears too confident in his off-platform game despite a lack of zip. Doesn't offer up much escapability quickness from the pocket. Much too willing to take a big sack instead of throwing it away.

grade: 6.30 (Will eventually be a plus starter)

DT Darius Alexander - Toledo  6'4", 305

2024: 2nd All-MAC, 40tckls/7.5TFLs, 3.5scks, 4PBUs

combine: 4.95s 40, 31.5"vert, 9'3"broad, 28reps

strengths: Comes off the ball with good bend & force into 1st contact. Batters blocker with heavy hands and long arms. Rushes with a game plan to set up his moves & counters. Uses arm extension to generate push & separation with his rush.

weaknesses: Easily displaced when pad level starts to drift up high. Gets caught fighting the blocker instead of finding the runner. Doesn't get from point A to point B quickly in twist games. Below-average bend with his rush allows him to be redirected.

grade: 6.17 (Good backup with potential to develop as a starter)

CB Justin Walley - Minnesota   5'10", 190

2024: 2nd All-BIG 10, 42tckls/2TFLs, 1sck, 2INTs/1TD, 10PBUs

combine: 4.4s 40

strengths: Good mirror-&-match footwork from press. Athletic recoveries after missteps in coverage. Clings tight to bigger targets and competes hard at the catch point. Darts in off the edge to cutdown the run before it starts.

weaknesses: Average burst getting out of his transitions. Ball-hawking mentality opens him to double moves. Slow in coming to balance as a downhill tackler.

grade: 5.96 (Average backup/Special Team player)

strengths: Access to a sudden lateral jump-cut to elude penetration. Has the hips & feet to stack downhill moves. Runs square and drives through tacklers with good contact balance. Requires gang tackles to keep an ember from relighting. Capable option on swing passes & screens.

weaknesses: One-speed, long-strider runner with limited one-cut ability. Bangs into blockers and lacks adequate elusiveness.  Too eager to leave his feet and take abuse in the air. Below-average speed to win wide and turn the corner.

grade: 6.33 (Will eventually be a plus starter)

comp: Rhamondre Stevenson

RB TreVeyon Henderson - Ohio St  5'10", 202

2024: 3rd All-BIG 10, 144att/1,016yds/10TDs, 27rec/284yds/1TD,

combine: 4.43s 40, 38.5"vert, 10'8"broad

strengths: Slides from gap to gap with twitchy lateral movements. Accelerates into build-up speed that makes him tough to catch. Rhythmic in & out of cuts and hasn't fumbled in 3 years. Sorts centers and strikes like an OL in protection. Soft hands make him a safety valve out of the backfield for QBs.

weaknesses: Plays fast but is primarily a one-speed runner. Average vision inside will lead him into trafficked areas. Not much creativity to conjure yardage in tighter spaces. Catches too much contact through the line of scrimmage .

grade: 6.38 (Will eventually be a plus starter)

comp: Aaron Jones

RB Jaydon Blue - Texas   5'9", 196

2024: 134att/730yds/8TDs, 42rec/368yds/6TDs

combine: 4.38s 40

strengths: Quick, agile feet to slither around the interior. Good top-end speed to widen the field on outside runs. Can juke & sneak past open-field tacklers. Legitimate mismatch option as a WR out of the backfield. Runs wheel routes for angle routes for big plays.

weaknesses: Lacks tempo & processing quickness as a runner. Runs too small inside and accepts the contact. Will have drops on off-frame throws. mental mistakes in protection caused sacks.

grade: 6.11 (Good backup with potential to develop as a starter)

RB Quinshon Judkins - Ohio St   6', 221

2024: 3rd All-BIG 10, 194att/1,060yds/14TDs, 22rec/161yds/2TDs

comp: 4.48s 40, 38.5"vert, 11'broad

strengths: Presses the run deep into the line before cutting. Cutside runs feature patience, decisiveness & efficiency in space. Sudden burst to rush past arm traffic at the line of scrimmage. Runs with NFL-caliber physicality and falls forward as a finisher.

weaknesses: Hips are too tight for sharp angles as a one-cut runner. Lacks spatial awareness for smooth trips through the interior. Below-average speed to outrace pursuit & stack explosive runs.

grade: 6.33 (Will eventually be a plus starter)

comp: Joe Mixon

RB DJ Giddens - Knasas St  6', 212

2024: 2nd All-BIG 12, 205att/1,343yds/7TDs, 21rec/258yds/3TDs

 combine: 4.43s 40, 39.5"vert, 10'10 broad

strengths: Runs with patience, allowing big to get their blocks. Vision to see & cut into developing run lanes. More elusive than he should be in tight quarters.

weaknesses: Lacks lateral quicks and long speed to create chunk runs. Inconsistent knee bend & power as a run finisher. Struggles to bring in off-frame throws. Will get the QB hit too often in protection.

grade: 5.94 (Average backup/Special teamer)
