Strengths: A three-down back. He allows power blocks to develop. Excellent read & cut timing. Leg drive & balance to power through contact. Hips can swivel and cut in any direction. Elevated his value as a receiver out of the backfield.

Weaknesses: Average ball security needs to improve. A long strider in short spaces. Running style is aggressive but somewhat segmented. Drops easy throws on swing passes. Needs to square rushers & keep them centered.

Weaknesses: Pocket setup is slower & labored. His footwork gets sloppy. Will miss basic reads at times. Deliberate release will not tolerate slow reads. Below-average functional mobility. Runs his targets into traffic.

Comp: Brad Johnson

Grade: 6.19 (Good backup, Could Become a Starter)

OT Jalen Mayfield - Michigan   6'5" 320lbs

Strengths: Recognizes pre-snap pressure points. Agile feet & athletic ability to mirror twists and stunts. Able to get out in space. Bursts out of his stance as a run blocker. Accelerates his feet through down blocks. Reliable climbing to the 2nd level from combo blocks. Keeps driving opponent when he gets block-centered.

Weaknesses: Upper body lacks desired broadness & strength. Small wind-up in pass punch opens frame up. Lacks length & power to redirect rushers. Loses pad level when making lateral blocks. Struggles with body control & contact balance at times.

Comp: Trey Pipkins

Grade: 6.12 (Good Backup, Could Become a Starter)

RB Najee Harris - Alabama   6'2"  230lbs

Plus balance to keep the run on track through 1st contact. Soft hands with above-average ball skills. Willing & able in pass protection. Good ball security.

Weaknesses: Runs with inconsistent feel for tempo. Lacks speed to threaten for the big play. Average burst between tackles. Average acceleration out of his cuts. Takes on heavy contact on a consistent basis.

Comp: Steven Jackson

Grade: 6.46 (Will Be a Starter Within First 2 Seasons)

OT Christian Darrisaw - Virginia Tech   6'4"  314lbs

2020: 2nd All-American/1st All-ACC

Strengths: A natural bender. Smooth feet in pass slides. Athletic feet to mirror & move. Talent & athleticism to make all the blocks at any angle. Lateral quickness off snap is fantastic. Enticing combo of feet, hips and hand strength. A very effective cut blocker. Agility to stalk and connect against moving targets.

Weaknesses: Play can be too nonchalant at times. Too reliant upon athleticism over technique. Allows defenders into his frame more than he should. Lazy with hand placement on down blocks.

Comp: Russell Okung

Grade: 6.45 (Will Be a Starter Within First 2 Seasons)

OT Spencer Brown - Northern Iowa  6'9"  314lbs

Strengths: A natural bender with impressive athletic ability. Foot agility & explosiveness to make all the move blocks. Accelerates into the block & immediately runs feet with vigor. Good recognition of late add-ons looking to blitz. Flashes talent to throw a variety of protection looks at pass rushers.

Weaknesses: Opponents often get under his pads due to high center of gravity. Missed blocks usually due to footwork issues. Second level climbs can lack control at times. Needs to eliminate forward lean into punch. Doesn't stay square for as long as he needs to in pass sets.

Comp: Jared Veldheer

Grade: 6.25 (Good Backup, Could Become a Starter)

OT Alex Leatherwood - Alabama   6'5"  312lbs

2020: Outland Trophy, 1st All-American

Strengths: Roster flexibility at either guard or tackle. Can bend & leverage at the point of attack. Athletic in his movements. Can operate effectively in outside zone and for screen blocks. Able to unlock hips & sink against bull-rusher. Diligent to protect inside post in pass sets.

Weaknesses: Mechanical & lacking explosion into initial contact. Movement lacks twitch in tight quarters. Needs to improve hand positioning in general. Disappointing power to separate.

Comp: Cameron Erving

Grade: 6.28 (Good Backup, Could Become a Starter)

 RB Kenneth Gainwell - Memphis  5'11"  195lbs

Strengths: Calm in the face of early penetration. Lateral change of direction is sudden. Has fluid field vision. Crisp footwork allows him to effectively stack moves. Gets blitz pickup squared.

Weaknesses: A magnet for extremely heavy contact. Creativity diminishes once he's up to 2nd & 3rd levels. Doesn't bring much force to his carries. A one-speed runner with very average burst. Hesitant committing to cutback lanes at times.

Comp: Jeremy McNichols

Grade: 6.13 (Good Backup, Could Become a Starter)

C Trey Hill - Georgia   6'4"  319lbs

Strengths: Has experience at guard. Able to stuff & tee up block for his guard on combos. Sees rush games & makes proper adjustment. Gains depth and changes levels to protect against twists.

Weaknesses: Below-average getting power-players steered out of gaps. Hand placement is a lingering concern. Anchor impacted by poor pad level. Desired body control is missing.

Grade: 5.69 (Chance to Make End of a Roster/Practice Squad)

LB Zaven Collins- Tulsa   6'3"  260lbs

2020: Bronco Nagurski Award/Chuck Bednarik Award, 1st All-American, AAC DPOY, 53tckls/11.5 TFLs, 4scks, 4INTs/2TDs, Blocked kick

Strengths: Consistent, impactful production. Range to make plays all over. Size & knock-back power to take on all blocks. Terrific 2nd effort as a tackler. Plays disciplined team defense. Good awareness of air traffic in zone coverage. Reads QBs & slides into passing lanes.

Weaknesses: Doesn't always impose size. Instincts & diagnosis are just average. Needs time to gather & change direction. Average reactive agility. Not a natural rusher when turned lose off the edge.

Comp: Leighton Vander Esch

Grade: 6.39 (Will Be a Starter Within First 2 Seasons)

EDGE Patrick Jones II - Pittsburgh

2020: 2nd All-American, 44tckls/13TFLs, 3PUs

Strengths: Able to slip blocks and find plays in the backfield. Maintains discipline on zone-read. Good footwork when working his spin counter. Very agile tackler in space.

Weaknesses: Needs to play with consistent urgency & motor. Needs quicker diagnosis of blocker movement off the snap. Pads too easily turned by blockers at point of attack. Below-average speed-to-power conversion. Doesn't win with his hands enough in run or pass.

Grade: 5.90 (Backup/Special Teamer)

QB Mac Jones - Alabama   6'3"  217lbs

2020: Maxwell Award/Walter Camp POY/Davey O'Brien Award, 1st All-American/1st All-SEC, 311/402 4,500 yds, 77.4%, 41TDs/4INTs

Strengths: Feel for pocket slides to avoid pressure. Very confident making placement throws. Accuracy to prevent receivers from having to break stride. Wins at the back shoulder. Willing to get rid of the ball rather than take a loss or make a mistake.

Weaknesses: Struggles to fight off rush contact. Average release quickness. Locks in on a target rather than honoring progressions. Play can be panicky. Has trouble locating open targets in direction where heat is coming from.
